Stories or highlights are not showing

Stories and highlights use a separate refresh and separate widget choice from feed posts. A working post feed does not guarantee that story circles are enabled in that widget.

Refresh story media

1. Open Media > Stories.
2. Choose Highlights or Stories under Show on your store.
3. Select Refresh from Instagram.
4. Wait a few minutes for the background download.
5. Confirm that the items are marked visible.
6. Save any pending changes.

Live stories expire after 24 hours. If a live story has expired on Instagram, it will not continue showing as a current story in the widget.

Check the widget choice

Open Home > Your widgets > Edit > Content > Story circles. Choose Show my highlights or Show my live stories, select the desired highlights when needed, and save the widget.

Each widget has its own story choice. Confirm that you edited the widget ID used by the page you are testing.

Redownload only after a failed refresh

Use Delete all & redownload only if the normal refresh did not restore the media. This removes downloaded story data first and can discard unsaved ordering, visibility, links, or product tags.

Contact support if a normal refresh and one careful redownload both fail.
