Use custom CSS or placement controls

Most storefront changes can be completed with the widget editor. Custom CSS and placement selectors are available for special theme requirements on eligible plans.

Start with built-in controls

Use Home > Your widgets > Edit for layouts, title designs, spacing, corner radius, post counts, carousel movement, popup content, story circles, and page targeting. These settings are safer because the preview shows their effect before you save.

Ask for custom CSS help

Open Media > Advanced to find the custom CSS area. Custom CSS can change the widget beyond its built-in controls, but incorrect rules can hide content or behave differently across devices.

Use the in-app chat when you need a pixel-specific result. Tell us which widget and page you mean, what it does now, and what you want it to do. Our team can review the theme and prepare the CSS for you.

Never send a theme password, Shopify password, API key, or other account credential in the CSS field.

Placement controls for older themes

The Placements section supports CSS selectors that place the feed, story circles, or title before or after an existing theme element. These controls are mainly for older installations that do not use a Shopify app block.

New installations should use Add to theme and position the app block in Shopify's theme editor. App blocks are easier to see, move, and maintain when the theme changes.
