Customize the heading, profile, and follow button

The heading section can introduce your Instagram content, show profile details, and give shoppers a direct way to follow you.

Edit the heading

  1. Open Home > Your widgets > Edit > Appearance.
  2. Find the Heading section.
  3. Enter a clear title, such as “Follow us on Instagram.”
  4. Add an optional subtitle that explains what shoppers will find in the feed.
  5. Edit the follow button text if you want a more specific call to action.
  6. Choose a title design and check the desktop and mobile previews.
  7. Select Save.

The title supports simple inline formatting saved by older versions of the app. Safe formatting such as bold, italic, underline, small text, highlights, and line breaks can render. Scripts, embedded objects, event handlers, and unsafe attributes are removed.

Choose a title design

Available designs include Classic, Instagram, Classic + Follow, Stacked, Profile card, Compact profile, Profile spotlight, Social banner, and Editorial. Some designs require Sell, Growth, or equivalent eligible legacy access.

Choose a design based on the job of the section. A simple title works well when the feed is supporting content. A profile card or social banner is useful when growing Instagram followers is the main goal.

Hide the heading

Additional widgets include Show heading section under Visibility. Turn it off when the surrounding Shopify section already provides a heading.

The main feed always keeps its core visibility controls in the editor. If you want to remove the entire app block from one theme page, use Shopify's theme editor instead.
