Switch or disconnect your Instagram account

You can switch the connected Instagram profile from the Instagram card on Home. Disconnecting takes the current feed, stories, and link in bio page offline until another public account is connected.

Switch to another account

1. Open InstaFeedStory and find the Instagram card on Home.
2. Select Disconnect.
3. Read the warning, then confirm the disconnection.
4. Select Connect Instagram.
5. Enter the new public Instagram username and connect it.
6. Wait for the new account's media to finish syncing.

Your widget design remains in the app, but the content changes to the newly connected account. Review pinned posts, hidden posts, story choices, and product tags after switching because those settings were connected to the previous media.

Reconnect an expired connection

If the Instagram card says Reconnect needed, select Reconnect instead of disconnecting. The app will restart the connection and media sync for the same username.

Before disconnecting permanently

Disconnecting pauses the storefront experience, but it does not cancel a paid Shopify subscription. If you also want to stop billing, manage the subscription separately from the Billing page.
