Add your Instagram feed to a Shopify theme

Connecting Instagram gives the app content to display. Adding the app block tells Shopify where that content should appear in your theme.

Add the main feed

1. Open InstaFeedStory from your Shopify admin.
2. Find Your widgets on the Home page.
3. Select Add to theme beside Main feed.
4. Choose Home page, Product pages, or Collection pages.
5. Wait for Shopify's theme editor to open with the Instagram feed app block ready.
6. Move the block to the position you want.
7. Select Save in Shopify's theme editor.

Your feed is live after Shopify confirms that the theme was saved. Open the storefront preview and select a post to confirm that the widget loads and responds.

Add a specific widget

If your plan includes multiple widgets, InstaFeedStory copies that widget's ID when you use Add to theme. The app block uses the ID to load the correct widget instead of the main feed.

You can also select Copy ID in InstaFeedStory and paste it into the widget ID field of an existing app block. This is useful when the app block is already in the right theme position.

If you use several theme templates

Shopify can have different templates for different products and collections. Add and save the app block in every template where you want the feed to appear.

If the block appears in the theme editor but not on the live store, confirm that you edited the published theme and the correct page template.
